Clinics & Services

The practice currently offers the following clinics: 

Asthma Clinic

Nurse Yvonne Trainor runs this weekly for review of asthma control and implementation of management plans, advice and patient education. 

Diabetes Clinic

Clinics are held bi-weekly by Dr Fellows and nurse Yvonne Trainor for the care of diabetic patients by prior arrangement. 

Child Immunisation Clinic

Our health visitor runs clinics for routine immunisations. 

Heart Disease Clinic

The clinic is under the care of nurse Fiona Sukkar. Assessments are made on individual risk and management plans established to each patient. 

Paediatric Surveillance Clinics 

Dr Fraser and one of our health visitors carry out a routine check at 6 weeks. There is also a 30 month assessment. Appointments are sent out when your child reaches this stage. 

Well Woman/Family Planning 

These clinics are held weekly by Dr Carse and the practice nurse and offer a wide range of services and advice such as HRT, contraceptive advice, fertility and sexual problems. We strongly encourage all woman between the ages of 20-60 to attend when called for the cervical smear programme. From 6th June 2016, the age range for routine calls to cervical smear tests will be extended to include women between the age of 60 and 64. The frequency of screening will be five years for women in this age range.

Travel 

Please complete a travel vaccination questionnaire and return to the practice at least 6 weeks before your departure. Some immunisations are not part of NHS work and a charge will be made for these.

We also provide the following additional services: 

  • Freezing of warts and other small skin lesions 
  • Minor Surgery 
  • An annual flu immunisation programme to protect the elderly and at risk patients 
  • Regular monitoring, by blood and urine tests, for patients on a specific range of drugs (Near Patient Testing)
